Uhm, depends. Sometimes it makes it worse, but so much worse that it's kind of OK? Makes it easier to talk about shit, if you have to.

I guess if you really just want to feel better there are other options besides drinking.

Alcohol would loosen inhibitions, including my reluctance.

Technically you can go dancing without drinking. Some people do it. I used to.
