[Sometime in the middle of the morning, there's a quiet Hades Invasion-- or a homecoming. It feels more like home than any other place, at least, and Luci has missed it. Even though she's been on the road for a month, drawing larger and larger crowds and preaching her gospel at the top of her lungs, somehow being away from her usual stomping grounds has tired her out. Being away from Laura has tired her out, if she's being honest with herself. She's willing to do that after a long bus ride.]
[She leaves her suitcase in the doorway and heads for the bedroom. As she approaches where Laura's passed out, Luci sheds off her jacket, tie, shoes, belt, pants-- all in a trail. She's tired, and she gives no fucks. Well. Few fucks. Luci doesn't flop down violently on the bed, she slides in quietly next to Laura and lets out a long, exhausted, relieved sigh.]
[ Laura sleeps . . . unpredictably, these days, at best. An empty bed is harder than a full one, as a general rule-- and that was even before one of her nightmares literally came to life.
But hey, that's why there's downers to mix for nice long dreamless naps, such as she is enjoying right now. An eye opens to look at Luci and she mumbles out a question. The words are beyond slurred and whatever she said was might as well be word salad. The gist seemed to be pleased yet entirely baffled.
You're nerve-wrackingly agreeable tonight for someone who's just had their bed invaded by an absent gi-- absent lover.
[Damn she's tired, she slipped there for a minute. At least Luci can wave it off as a figment of Laura's sleep-addled brain, but there is a moment where Luci holds her breath and the thought comes to her, unbidden: you're too tired to lie to yourself tonight.]
[Luci lets out the held breath slowly, and her voice comes out soft and devoid of her power-- Laura doesn't need a face full of adrenaline shot.]
Dream lover, until then I'll go to sleep and dream again That's the only thing to do Till all my lover's dreams come true 'Cause I want a girl to call my own I want a dream lover So I don't have to dream alone.
[ She won't even remotely remember that, you nerd. But she does smile to herself as her breathing evens back out. Congratulations, Luci. You sang a girl to sleep. ]

Somehow her hand still managed to find Luci's. ]

No time for talk, I need my beauty rest or I'm liable to raze a Starrbucks.

Her eyes don't close just yet tho, because they're busy dreamily getting lost in Luci's. ]

If I promise I'll be right here when you wake up, will you close your eyes? I'm the opposite of good at lullabies.

[ Still, whether it's at Luci's request or otherwise, her eyes do close again. ]

[Not that Laura can right now, she's way too gone on exhaustion. Luci squeezes in a kiss on the other's cheek and settles in herself.]
